In a city of over 20 million people, space is understandably at a premium in Mumbai. For the working class, daily life in Mumbai is lived in what are called chawls -- multi level tenements with single small rooms, which usually accommodate a whole family, often with a shared bathroom for each floor. There's little privacy but the benefits are a strong sense of companionship and support. Mumbai doesn't have as many historical attractions as other places in India , but its colourful lifestyle and organized chaos separates it from other cities. You'll find everything from beaches to Bollywood; dabbawaalas to millionaires; cricket on railway tracks to schools in tents; cows on streets to Fast Audi on Highways. Welcome to Mumbai!
Local trains are considered to be the lifelines of Mumbai. Over The exuberance or the ‘never say die’ attitude of this city is often appreciated. The maturity and calmness shown by this city during the 26/11 attack was widely appreciated. Also the courage of the middle class Mumbaikar to get up on 27/11 and go to work to CST is something that can be found in this city’s blood only.
There are many issues in this city than the population because every person is having some issues of their own. Politicians talk of transforming Mumbai into Shanghai but it gets restricted to only talk. Despite all dreams shown to us; politicians have not even rendered Mumbai to its original form.
